how bout another round?

I can't believe I finally did it - we finally did it! We finally graduated, hooray! It was great fun to have a little cheering section of our family as we walked across the stage, where there were numerous hand sanitizing stations available for our use - thanks swine flu. But you know I used that mess!

You know we kept the party rockin - everyone came to our place to hang, equipped with barbeque, watermelon, horseshoes, jammin tunes, and great conversations. The only people who didn't make it were my aunt and uncle, who somehow got misplaced in Myers Park and got frustrated trying to get here, so they went home early. We missed them, but I do understand - getting lost happens to the best of us.

The best thing about being married is getting to have a whole other set of family traditions to take part in. Ok, maybe that's not the BEST thing, but it is fun! So among the many new traditions I've come to love, there's a couple I find quite humorous (now keep in mind some if not all of these have stories to them, but to be honest i just don't remember them): Siddack (still haven't tasted that one yet!), singing songs outside with little candles on Christmas Eve, tin foil presents, cans of peanuts on your birthday, The Birthday Lady (and I WILL find that tape because I do believe a certain someone missed out on that part of initiation, ahem, sarah.), fried cookies (which we made on Sunday and were so delish I must make them again!)and of course the famous game of hot and cold for birthday gifts.
So Kyre and I have adapted hot and cold for just about any gift we want, so I should have figured this was coming, right? Silly me.

Needless to say, this beast is amazing.

  5. Yay! Yay! Yay! Congratulations to the both of you. What a good feeling to be done with school. However, you have one error in your post. There was another couple that didn't make it to your graduation....US! Maybe when you go on to get your doctorate we'll swing by!
